Mint Museum Uptown

Join a museum educator and docent for a guided slow looking and mindfulness experience. Participants sketch a work of art in the special exhibition Southern/Modern at Mint Museum Uptown and return to the group for discussion. Materials are provided. No experience necessary.

Land and Labor Acknowledgement

The Mint Museum sits on colonized land traditionally home to Catawba, Cheraw, Sugaree, Waxhaw, and other Indigenous peoples who resided, met, and traded here. The Mint also acknowledges the unpaid and hidden labor of enslaved peoples of African ancestry who helped build the Mint Museum at Randolph Rd at various stages in the building's history.
