Wednesday Night Live: Opening celebration for The Communion of White Dresses

Celebrate the opening of The Communion of White Dresses, a collaborative and interactive exhibition created by artist Monique Luck and North Carolina Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green that reimagines tradition and symbolism and serves as primary source to invite female audiences to share stories of generational white dress culture.

Shelton Green will give a poetry reading, followed by an artist talk between Luck and Shelton Green, moderated by former McColl Center vice president + creative director Jonell Logan, about the collaborative project that was developed during residencies at McColl Center for the Arts in Fall 2023.
