African American Art and Identity Public Virtual Tour

October 4 | 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Engage remotely with the Mint’s diverse collections through our Public Virtual Tours led by Mint docents. This thematic tour looks at how do Black artists express ideas about identity and contemporary culture. We will look at works of art from the Mint’s collection by African American artists Kehinde Wiley and Ken West and see how both artists challenge us to consider different viewpoints and come to a broader understanding of what it means to be Black and male in America.Public Virtual Tours are FREE. Register and attend 3 or more Public Virtual Tours and receive a 30% Online Museum Store discount!
