Community Conversation:  Madvillains:  Unmasking Perceptions with the God City Artists

Wednesday, April 27 | 6:30-8 p.m. l UPTOWN

FREE and Open to the Public

Using Renowned Artist Kehinde Wiley’s Philip the Fair, the collective presents an artistic examination of how heroes and villains can be created based on the perspective and perception of others. Collective’s related works from 2006-2016 will be displayed. Following the program, guests can chat with the artists and visit the Modern and Contemporary Gallery to view the work of Wiley and other diverse artists.

Note: Madvillains is based on an album cover of a “masked” artist of the same stage name with whom the GC artists connected in referencing “masking and unmasking.”
