Live at the Mint: Film Screening of Cunningham
March 4 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
The Mint Museum is proud to present the acclaimed documentary CUNNINGHAM, a timely tribute to one of the world’s greatest modern dance artists. It traces Merce Cunningham’s artistic evolution of risk and discovery from his early years at Black Mountain College in North Carolina to his emergence as a visionary choreographer. The film offers a breathtaking explosion of dance, music, and never-before-seen archival material.
Merce Cunningham developed a new dance technique and way of thinking in collaboration with seminal visual artists and composers such as John Cage (who was his life partner), Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, and Radiohead.Watch the Trailer
