Celebrating Con A de Arte (A is for Art), Afro-Cuban Rhythms and Performing Artists, and Local African American and Latin American Visual Artists!

Special Tribute to: Cheo Feliciano, Afro-Cuban salsa and bolero legend

Live perforcemance: Cafe Amaretto (Ana Lucia Divins and Carlos Crepo)

Dance lesson at 8:30 pm

Salsa: a Latin dance form with origins from Cuban Son (sound) and Afro-Cuban dance (specifically Afro-Cuban rumba)

Bachata and Merengue:  genres of music that originated in the Dominican Republic and spread to other parts of Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Music and Dance: a great way to bring together various cultures from North and South Carolina who love to dance, including ballroom and dance schools, clubs, and fitness programs!!

Celebrate: our global community and the art of movement

*This is a collaboration with ArtSí Charlotte, a community initiative supporting Latino Arts; sharing a passion for dance and self-expression; and Rumbao Latin Dance Company, explosive creative dance that energizes.

Enjoy this time of diversity, culture and art with people who want to move with DJ and live Afro-Cuban and Latin-influenced rhythms to salsa, Bachata, merengue, and cha cha, as well as view visual art by diverse local artists.  (Light snacks with cash bar.)

Featuring a special book signing by Poet Kurma Murrain, author of “In the Prism of Your Soul”.
