NexGen Virtual Hangout with Julio Gonzalez

Meet local artist Julio Gonzalez and find out how he adapts Maya traditions to forms of contemporary popular culture. This multidisciplinary artist will lead a drawing demo using mythology and story telling as inspiration.

Gonzalez’ work is currently on display at Mint Museum Randolph as a part of Interventions, a new program that contextualizes works in the Mint’s collection.

If you feel like being creative, you can work along with Julio – or just sit back and watch him create. Do you have a favorite myth or legend you would like to explore in your drawing?
