Family & Children
Mint Summer Art Camps allow kids age 3-18 to explore a specific media or topic through fun and creative experiences in an inspiring environment. Professional artist/teachers facilitate age-appropriate art activities in the classrooms and museum galleries. Join us for half-day or full-day art camps and enjoy small class sizes, high-quality art materials and instruction, and a beautiful atmosphere!
Afterschool Art Club
Join us for creative art-making at the Mint on Wednesday evenings! Students sketch in the museum galleries and explore a variety of 2D and 3D projects in the studios.
Lewis Family Gallery at The Mint Museum Uptown
Kids of all ages can play, explore and learn about the museum collection in the Lewis Family Gallery. This hands-on space provides a creative environment for creating art, engaging in building and puzzle challenges, posing for pictures, creating a giant doodle, and stepping into a Romare Bearden collage! Open during regular museum hours.
Bilingual Stories & Music
Bilingual Stories & Music is a program for children (ages 0-6) and their families that take place on Saturday mornings, six times a year at the Mint Museum Randolph. For this program performers use a combination of bilingual stories (Spanish/English), music, musical instruments, toys, puppets, and games to interact with the audience. This program was created to reach out to Hispanic families living in the U.S. whose children are growing up bilingual. However, at present, the program has attracted non-Hispanic families as well who consider it is important for their children to be exposed to the Spanish language and to Hispanic culture.
