Dutch Design Lecture Series

As a design aesthetic from the Netherlands, Dutch Design is often described as minimalist, experimental, innovative and unconventional, all while retaining a sense of humor. The futuristic designs coming out of the Netherlands reinterpret the function of design, and look to reinvent the perception of artistic qualities in daily life.

Speaking to the modern and robust talent coming from Dutch artist, our guest speakers deconstruct Dutch Design in its finest forms. Hear three different experts give presentations on their favorite aspects of Dutch Design, and how it has been incorporated into the art and lives of people around the world.

The Dutch Design Lecture Series is coordinated around our exhibition Immersed in Light: Studio Drift at the Mint. The exhibition features five works by Studio Drift dating from the last decade to today, most of which have been modified for the Mint. It is the first solo exhibition for Studio Drift in the United States.
