The Mint Museum Library
The Mint Museum Library is an extraordinary free art reference library available to all individuals interested in the visual and decorative arts.
The library collection includes 22,000 books, exhibition catalogues, current and historic art & design periodicals and auction catalogs, plus vertical files on over 8,000 artists and art institutions. Nationally recognized for its craft resources, the library also houses a significant collection of rare titles from the 17th through 21st centuries.

Our Mission
The Mint Museum Library provides context for The Mint Museum’s exhibitions, programs, and permanent collections.
The library consists of the J.A. Jones Reference Library focused on fine arts and the Delhom-Gambrell Reference Library for the decorative arts located at Mint Museum Randolph.
In addition to these two library spaces, there are several resource centers located at Mint Museum Uptown provide selected print and multimedia materials for browsing.

To find whether the museum has a particular title, search the Mint Art Research Catalog Online (MARCO). Additional online resources include Mint Wiki – the library’s online resource for exhibitions at The Mint Museum and multiple online databases for research in art craft and fashion available on site in the J.A. Jones Reference Library for non-staff users.
